National Curriculum
The National curriculum compiled based on Indonesian national education standards. This curriculum aims to produce a productive, creative, innovative, and effective Indonesian generation by integrating attitudes, skills, and knowledge into the learning process. In its application, National Curriculum focuses on developing students’ character, developing skills based on students’ interests, needs, and potentials, and using thematic methods to develop students’ cognitive abilities through a scientific approach.
Steam Education
This method will enable students to improve their ability to complete project-based work, which will not only enhance their practical skills but also their skills in collaborative learning, communication, and critical thinking.
Al - Qur'an
This program focuses on maximizing students’ abilities in reading, memorizing, translating, and understanding the Quran. During the study period, students will read the Al-Quran with a good and correct standard (Tahsin), memorizing 10-30 juz, and translating and being able to interpret the suras in the Al-Quran well.
Language Focus
In implementing teaching and learning activities in schools and daily activities in Ma’had, Indonesian and Arabic are the most frequently used languages. In addition, Al Azhar IIBS also focuses on developing the English skills of all students by creating an active and Arabic-speaking environment so that students can use Arabic and English well in daily interactions and build knowledge. Furthermore, students are also encouraged to be able to use another language that Al Azhar IIBS offers.
Development Activities
Al Azhar IIBS has excellent programs for developing and optimizing student potential, including the English Club, Arabic Club, MTQ Coaching, Olympic Coaching, Khidmah Ijtima’iyyah, Leadership Training, and Muhadharah. In addition, all students can choose extracurricular activities based on their interests and talents. Alazhar IIBS provides various choices, including scouts, paskibraka, the art of reading the Quran, sports, literature, arts, martial arts, and journalism. With these various extracurricular activities, Al Azhar IIBS hopes to develop all students’ potential optimally and directedly.
Student-Centered Learning Approach
Students must be involved in all learning practices. In particular, students are encouraged to get used to self-study with the teacher as a guide and supervisor. This approach opens up opportunities for students to participate more and explore everything they want to know, forms a habit of love of learning without coercion and triggers students to learn independently.
